So today was my first day of the Bizzy Diet. The nutrition side of it wasn't bad, I tried cottage cheese again to see if I liked it but I don't so I will stick to Greek yogurt some days and protein shakes the other. The musclegel was disgusting, I was literally putting a glob in my mouth and then taking a swig of water to get it down. Otherwise I was gagging on it and thought I was going to spit it back up. My day at work got a little messed up so i ended up eating my chicken in the car on the way to my physical therapists office (messed up shoulder) and then eating my salad after I got home from there. I put my second round of musclegel in the freezer and i could eat it NO problem so that made me happy. The workout (which I will talk about in a moment) which was really intense made it hard for me to eat dinner but I finally did.
Work Out Day 1:
I used the ARC trainer for my HIIT did about 80 strides for low intensity and at the highest did 180 strides for my high intensity.
Weight Lifting:
After watching the videos and seeing he was using 20lbs weights and being a pretty muscular guy I decided to use 15lb dumbells. Got through the whole circuit, but by the time I got to the second round of cardio I was already struggling. I did the 10 minutes but at 80 strides pretty much the whole 10 miutes, I think I may have done 1 minute at high intensity. My main goal is to get through the whole program.
Second round of weight lifting:
Dropped the weight to 10lb and got through the whole curcuit. I had to stop and catch my breath a couple times for maybe 30 seconds. By the end I was suffering but pushed my way through it and got it done. I was amazed at the ability I have to push myself as hard as I did. Its been a while since I have pushed myself that hard without having a trainer there pushing me along.
I am happy with the day and look forward to seeing the progress both visually and physically.
I'll be honest I have a bit of an ego and not happy that I have to use such little weight because I know I can lift WAY more as I normally do but trying to make myself realize what I am doing is not like what I normally do.
