Day 2

Day 2:

I'm exhausted, my body is sore. Couldn't get to sleep last night and had to get up early this morning for work. I am not a morning person and will never be a morning person.

Diet:

Greek Yogurt for Breakfast

2 Musclegel packs (must be cold or I can't eat them)

2 cans of tuna, realized once you drain the water its only about 3 oz per can
2 cups of spring mix
1 T yogurt Ranch dressing only 45 calories
Mrs. Dash original for some extra taste

Its about 4 now and put a gel in the freezer and about to eat that.

Really REALLY dont want to work out today but gonna force myself out of this house and to the gym. I gotta get this done.

In 3 days I have 5 months until my brothers wedding in which I am the best man, I was a fat best man in a wedding about a year ago and I refuse to be the fat best man at my only brothers wedding.

Work Out:

As much as I want to call this a failure I won't because I got myself to the gym and still got a hard 30 minutes in. I was exhausted from lack of sleep due to circumstances out of my control. I did the full 20 minutes of HIIT, averaging 85 strides at my low range range and slowly bumping up to 160 for the high intensity. I may need to lower this on my leg days next time.

Weight Lifting:

My legs were already sore from yesterday, then doing HIIT today and then going straight into squats my legs were on FIRE, I did 20 squats, 10 lunges per leg, BARELY 30 calf raises and 20 or 30 crunches both kinds, one set. and that was all I had to give. I really wanted to be able to push through but I just couldnt. I also forgot to take my BCAA before working out today, not sure if that had any effect on my workout.

I am also unfortunately a smoker. Quit for 5 years and now back to smoking again... Most days I have like 3 or 4 but today I have had more than that and definitely felt it. I know my workouts would be much better if I could put the pack down...for good.

Dinner:

Chicken Breast
4 cups broccoli

EDIT: so that WAS my plan for dinner but I just didn't want to eat. I think its working out later in the afternoon kicking my butt or just that I am exhausted tonight. May regret this later....

Actual Dinner

Protein Shake
2 scoops Nitro-Pro
4 small frozen strawberries
1 cup skim milk
1 cup water
A couple ice cubes

Day 2 OVER! 19 to go!

Day 1 The Bizzy Diet & Workout

So today was my first day of the Bizzy Diet. The nutrition side of it wasn't bad, I tried cottage cheese again to see if I liked it but I don't so I will stick to Greek yogurt some days and protein shakes the other. The musclegel was disgusting, I was literally putting a glob in my mouth and then taking a swig of water to get it down. Otherwise I was gagging on it and thought I was going to spit it back up.  My day at work got a little messed up so i ended up eating my chicken in the car on the way to my physical therapists office (messed up shoulder) and then eating my salad after I got home from there. I put my second round of musclegel in the freezer and i could eat it NO problem so that made me happy. The workout (which I will talk about in a moment) which was really intense made it hard for me to eat dinner but I finally did.

Work Out Day 1:

I used the ARC trainer for my HIIT did about 80 strides for low intensity and at the highest did 180 strides for my high intensity.

Weight Lifting:

After watching the videos and seeing he was using 20lbs weights and being a pretty muscular guy I decided to use 15lb dumbells. Got through the whole circuit, but by the time I got to the second round of cardio I was already struggling. I did the 10 minutes but at 80 strides pretty much the whole 10 miutes, I think I may have done 1 minute at high intensity. My main goal is to get through the whole program.

Second round of weight lifting:

Dropped the weight to 10lb and got through the whole curcuit. I had to stop and catch my breath a couple times for maybe 30 seconds. By the end I was suffering but pushed my way through it and got it done. I was amazed at the ability I have to push myself as hard as I did. Its been a while since I have pushed myself that hard without having a trainer there pushing me along.

I am happy with the day and look forward to seeing the progress both visually and physically.

I'll be honest I have a bit of an ego and not happy that I have to use such little weight because I know I can lift WAY more as I normally do but trying to make myself realize what I am doing is not like what I normally do.
